5 Months of Brutal Oppression Have Led to a Fading Sense of Hope
It’s been 5 months since Israel attacked Gaza.
Since then, Israel has relentlessly bombed, killed, abducted, abused, and mass starved the entire Gazan population.
They started with the North and continued to push the Gazans southwards.
But now, even when they have reached the southern-most point, Israel does not intend to stop.
1.9 MILLION Gazans are now living in tents — displaced, vulnerable, starved, and utterly disturbed.
Despite these dire circumstances, women continue to give birth, and a significant number of newborns are unable to survive due to both maternal and infant malnutrition.
Children are dying. The elderly are unable to get through. Parents are losing hope.
An entire nation is being forcibly starved right in front of our eyes.
Are we just going to sit behind our screens and watch it all unfold?
Over the years, Israel has consistently made Ramadan as difficult as it can for our Palestinian brothers and sisters. And in the midst of a full-fledged genocide, we can ONLY expect worse to come.
The nation is already starving. They have no energy left and no one left to seek help.
And with no sign of a ceasefire in sight, hope seems to be fading away.
But…
All hope is NOT lost.
We Can Save Them – And We MUST!
As Ramadan approached, my Palestinian friend, Ali Aldaly, and I decided we could not see our brothers and sisters suffer during this blessed month, and so we felt compelled to do something about it.
Ali proposed the idea of delivering a minimum of 20,000 meals to those in need in Gaza.
We decided to partner with the dedicated team at Human Concern International (HCI), leveraging their presence and logistics expertise within Gaza to procure food from outside the region.
With the combined efforts of HCI’s team and our own, we aim to ensure that vulnerable families receive proper nutrition throughout Ramadan.
However, this is a VERY ambitious goal.
In order to be able to deliver 20,000 meals throughout Ramadan, we will need at least $3 million within the next few days. The costs come down to at least $100,000 PER day!
As we strive to reach the most severely affected areas in the North and extend our aid efforts throughout Central Gaza and the South, we urgently need your support.
Three million dollars is a huge amount.
But if only 30,000 Muslims came together and donated only $1000 today, we can help Gazans fight hunger…
And make sure the oppressors DO NOT succeed in breaking their spirits during this blessed month.
We have enough funds to be able to distribute Iftar for the first 3-4 days of Ramadan. But we need your help to make sure we can show up–without fail–for the Gazans throughout the next 27 days too.

$95 for Meat and Rice That Suffice Just ONE Person!

Imagine your wife giving birth to your son, with hardly ANY medical care available, in the middle of a genocide.
Imagine wanting to get her her favorite food…
And then having to get only ONE plate worth of that food—for a fortune!
This is how severe the situation in Gaza is right now — Hamza was fortunate enough to afford a plate of food for his beloved wife.
But there are over a million displaced Gazans who do not have the monetary resources left to afford even the most basic of meals.
“They humiliated us! With the [aid] parachutes they drop to the sea!”
“They drop it to the sea so we come here like dogs.”
These are the words spoken by a young boy, Anas Al-Sharif, who was forced to walk 10 kilometers from Tal Al Zaatar to the sea in search of aid that was “airdropped” because his younger siblings had nothing left to eat.
And yet, he was left empty-handed.
On 29 February, the Israeli forces shot, killed, and injured HUNDREDS of Palestinian citizens who were merely waiting in line for aid in Gaza City — trying to get flour so their families don’t die due to the Israeli-imposed famine.
Where did they go wrong?
Anas cried, asking why aid could not be delivered normally, and why the world had to humiliate them.
He asked what widowed mothers and wounded orphans would do…
Do we have an answer?
Anas’s question wasn’t just about food. It was about humanity itself.
So, as we fast in Ramadan, let’s make sure these vulnerable families in Gaza are able to get food aid in a humane way — let’s make sure they receive the food and the respect they rightfully deserve.
Let’s not let the oppressors take this away from them.
