MILLIONS of Pakistanis are Homeless and Helpless Right Now

In 2022, Pakistan was hit by devastating and unprecedented floods. Consequently, 33 MILLION lives were uprooted. 8 MILLION people were displaced.

Months after the devastation, the world has moved on. But the flood victims who lost EVERYTHING are still stuck, struggling to survive amid stagnant and contaminated flood water.

Today, the affected people remain homeless, helpless, and miserable beyond comprehension.

They have nowhere to go and nothing to eat. They are left alone in the unforgiving clutches of hunger and poverty to fend for themselves. They are losing their battle.

In Ramadan, these conditions will further amplify. Their struggle for food will further intensify.

This Ramadan, Pray, Give and Empower!

Among the most affected areas was the vulnerable province of Balochistan, where more than 50,000 homes were destroyed.

Unlike most parts of the world, in Balochistan, the aftermath of disastrous flooding didn’t consist of rescue teams and relevant authorities working day and night until the water was drained, and their lives weren’t restored to normal.

Despite relief efforts, our Baloch brothers and sisters are still struggling to survive. Lack of financial, physical, and moral resources pushes them even further into miserable conditions.

During Ramadan, things get even more difficult. Without adequate resources, they can not fast, or even find as much as a slice of bread to eat!

But this Ramadan, you have the opportunity to step forward and help ease their struggles.

Madinah has launched a campaign to distribute food packages, provide clean drinking water, and arrange daily Iftars for the most vulnerable of vulnerable people in Pakistan right now— the flood victims, orphans, widows, and starving families.

By donating today, you can help us put food on their tables during Iftar and Suhoor.

You Can Get 2X In Return!

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “Whoever relieves a Muslim of some worldly distress, Allah will relieve him of some of the distress of the Day of Resurrection.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 225)

By donating today, you will be relieving someone of their distress and gaining rewards in the Akhirah. But what’s even more important is that you will be doing so in the Holy Month of Ramadan!

And the beloved Prophet of Allah SWT said,
“Ramadan is an Honorable and blessed month, and the rewards for generosity are multiplied in it. The best charity is that given in Ramadan.” (Tirmidhi)

That means, not only will you be rewarded for your generosity, but your rewards will be MULTIPLED!

Also, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once said, “The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah’s cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari 265)

Imagine! Feeding a poor and vulnerable person this Ramadan is the easiest and fastest way of doubling your rewards.

Even if you donate as little as $10 to help your brothers and sisters in Pakistan, you will be getting MORE than 2X in return!

SubhanAllah, may Allah reward us all.

We Must Hurry

With their homes destroyed, they have nothing left to protect them against harsh weather and waterborne diseases. The flood water is yet to recede. It will take many months before it does.

And with Ramadan just around the corner, the flood victims are not even slightly prepared. They have nothing to eat and nowhere to break their fasts.

If we deliver the aid in time, we can make this Ramadan easier for them. Instead of worrying about the survival of their loved ones, they will be able to focus completely on their religious obligations.

The Holy Prophet (SAW) also said, “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

Therefore, we must not delay if we want to shield ourselves and the flood victims of Pakistan from calamities.
